New Mexico Software reports teleradiology growth

PACS developer New Mexico Software, doing business as Net Medical Xpress, said that it expects its teleradiology case volume to increase nearly 19% in 2012.

Overall volume is approaching 300,000 cases a year, which is substantially higher than when the firm began offering the service in 2008, New Mexico Software said. The company recently hired four additional radiologists and two additional cardiologists, and it now has 59 radiologists and 17 cardiologists in its stable.

In a statement, Net Medical Xpress CEO Dick Govatski said the firm is launching a Gold Seal Net Medical affiliate program to allow its teleradiology healthcare customers to offer the company's diagnostic telemedicine programs to their existing clients. Initial certification of partner companies is expected in the first quarter of 2013.
