Display firm LG Electronics USA Business Solutions introduced two new imaging displays and previewed flat-panel x-ray detectors at last week's RSNA 2017 meeting in Chicago.
The first diagnostic display, 21HK512D, is a 21.3-inch, 3-megapixel monitor with a resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels. It includes a built-in color calibrator and can provide brightness levels up to 1,000 nits, LG said. LG also presented 19HK312C, a 1.3-megapixel clinical review monitor with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels. It features a 19-inch IPS screen with a 5:4 aspect ratio.
Both displays are compliant with the DICOM Part 14: Grayscale Standard Display Function and include backlight stabilization technology, as well as LG's Dynamic Sync Mode for reducing input lag. In addition, the company said the monitors include its Flicker Safe and Reader Mode settings, which aim to reduce eye strain.
LG also again highlighted its digital x-ray detectors for radiology at its booth. First showcased at RSNA 2016, the detectors are expected to be released in 2018.
