Image display firm Barco said it is introducing a new package aimed at facilitating remote reading of radiology exams.
Barco's remote image reading setup enables clinicians to examine images at the same resolution seen in the hospital setting by connecting a laptop to an eGFX graphics box and Thunderbolt 3 connector, according to the company. The graphics box also includes a Barco MXRT display controller, giving users access to clinical workflow tools.
In addition, the offering includes Barco's online MediCal QAWeb for automated compliance, quality assurance, and on-demand calibration.
Barco said it will showcase its new technology at the upcoming 2019 Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) annual meeting in Aurora, CO. It will be available for purchase in July.
