Computerized Thermal Imaging has appointed Michael Giallongo to the newly created position of vice president, eastern U.S. regional sales operations. Giallongo comes to the Layton, UT-based vendor from MDB Information Network, where he served as vice president of network development. Prior to that, he had 26 years of experience with Trex Medical division XRE.

Giallongo will focus on developing and supporting a national dealer network for CTI’s products, including the firm’s line of infrared cameras and photonic simulators. He will also be responsible for future distribution of CTI’s breast cancer detection system following premarket approval (PMA) by the Food and Drug Administration, according to the firm.
