Agfa negotiating sale of consumer imaging business

London-based investment company Schroder Ventures International Investment Trust has begun negotiations with Agfa-Gevaert to acquire its consumer imaging business. The business is comprised of film, finishing, lab equipment, and consumer digital imaging units. Klaus Seeger, CEO of Mortsel, Belgium-based Agfa, recently revealed the company’s plan to finance medical acquisitions from the sale of these divisions.
