Swedish Medical Center's First Hill campus in Seattle has opened a $33 million imaging department. The new facility is the largest of its kind in the Pacific Northwest, according to the center.
Covering more than 33,000 square feet, the department includes four nuclear medicine suites, three interventional radiology suites, seven ultrasound suites, two fluoroscopy suites, two general radiographic suites, and a chest radiographic suite. It will also feature a LightSpeed Plus CT scanner from GE Medical Systems; a short-bore MRI system; and a fluoroscopic x-ray machine that produces 3-D images, the company said. CR and PACS have also been installed.
