Canadian PACS developer RamSoft is showing a Web-based version of its Ultrapro PACS software as a work-in-progress at this week's Symposium for Computer Applications in Radiology.
Featuring the "look and feel" of its traditional Ultrapro PACS product, the vendor's webPACS software allows users on PCs or laptops to gain Web-based access to images, according to the Toronto-based company. It can support multiple monitors, and includes JPEG 2000 wavelet compression, study comparisons, and auto window/level capability, according to RamSoft.
RamSoft will place Ultrapro webPACS into beta testing in early May at three healthcare facilities, with general release expected by early July, according to the firm.
