Bone densitometry vendor Alara said it has acquired all of the assets of Sunnyvale, CA-based CR developer Phormax. Among those assets is Phormax's CRView computed radiography device, which is capable of reading storage phosphor imaging plates as large as 14" x 17" in a minute or less.
Hayward-based Alara did not disclose the terms of the acquisition. However, Phormax had been considered by some to be financially unviable as a standalone firm.
Alara said CRView will enhance its computed radiography product line.
