Does weightlifting get a bum rap as a cause of injury? Some weightlifting advocates believe it does, specifically with regard to injuries of the ulnar nerve.

In the story, AuntMinnie contributing writer Matt King explains why certain injuries are probably associated with weightlifting, while the link between heavy lifting and other aches and pains is less certain.

Ultrasound is particularly useful in diagnosing injuries such as ulnar nerve dysesthesias, because the dynamic nature of the modality enables specialists to view the elbow in both the extension and flexion positions, according to the story.
