Misys adds to tsunami relief efforts

Healthcare IT provider Misys Healthcare Systems said it has launched a charitable contribution campaign to assist victims of last month's Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami.

Kevin Lomax, Misys executive chairman, said the multinational company is making an initial $50,000 donation to the effort, through the Disaster Emergency Committee Tsunami Earthquake Appeal, and will match employee contributions up to another $50,000.

In the U.S., Misys' employee contributions are being directed to the American Red Cross and its International Response Fund for Asia.
