Philips Medical Systems is using this week's European Congress of Radiology meeting in Vienna to roll out its Practix Convenio mobile motorized x-ray system.
Practix Convenio is designed to gain full access to intensive care environments and even disaster sites, according to the Andover, MA-based vendor. It runs off its own power with enough battery life to provide operators with a whole day of full applications, Philips said.
The system utilizes a motorized carriage that allows radiographers to move the system at the touch of a button; the scanner can also be rotated on the spot, according to the firm.
