MinXray tapped by U.S. Army

The U.S. Army has selected MinXray's MXRSLW portable medical x-ray system package as its new standard for field-deployable and battlefield-portable diagnostic radiography, according to the Northbrook, IL-based developer.

The product package consists of the firm's HF120/60HPPWV PowerPlus high-frequency portable x-ray unit, the XGSMKIVLW gas-spring portable mobile stand with 16-inch (40-cm) wheels, and its HF100HSTC Hardigg military specification transport case.

The system weighs less than 97 lb (44 kilos) and is compatible with digital and analog imaging media, the company said.
