The medical group of German industrial conglomerate Siemens reported growth in sales and profit for its third quarter (end-June 30).
For the period, Siemens Medical Solutions reported sales of 1.921 billion euros ($2.3 billion), up 15% compared with sales of 1.67 billion euros ($2.026 billion) in the third quarter of fiscal 2004. Sales grew 16% when adjusted for currency translation effects.
The Erlangen-based division reported a net profit of 241 million euros ($292.5 million), compared with 219 million euros ($265.8 million) in the third quarter of fiscal 2004.
