GE Healthcare has inked a strategic agreement with USP Hospitales in Barcelona, Spain.
Under the 10-year deal, GE of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., will provide USP with equipment, technology and services, consulting, and financing offerings. The collaborative relationship has targets corresponding to clinical and technological excellence, with particular emphasis on cardiology, oncology, and diagnostic imaging, according to GE.
GE and USP will also team up in productivity and service programs, as well as developing financial packages, according to GE. The deal is the first of its kind for GE in Europe.
The first center to fully benefit from the agreement will be the new USP Institut Universitari Dexeus in Barcelona, scheduled to open in 2007.
