ART Advanced Research Technologies is collaborating with the Cedars Breast Clinic of the McGill University Health Centre in Montreal to launch a clinical study of its SoftScan optical breast imaging system.
The study will examine 600 to 950 women ages 25 to 60 and older, and will extend through 2006. It will be conducted at the Cedars Breast Clinic, as well as additional major centers in North America in the next few months, according to the Saint-Laurent, Quebec-based firm. ART said it would present the study results in its submissions to Health Canada and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
