McKesson introduced its new Horizon Optical Imaging technology at RSNA 2005 in Chicago this week.
The Atlanta-based IT company's optical imaging product is designed to enable digital automation of diagnostic specialties and allow clinicians to take an analog optical device, such as an endoscope, and convert it into a fully DICOM-enabled digital modality for the capture of still and cine images.
Image storage, archiving, and viewing are further supported by McKesson's Horizon Medical Imaging PACS.
