Del Medical Systems Group reported fiscal 2006 first-quarter net sales of $12.8 million, down 16.9% compared with the $15.4 million reported a year ago. Prior year sales reflected international shipments of $4.3 million under a Romanian tender order, Del said.
For the period (end-October 29), the Valhalla, NY-based firm had operating income of $260,000, compared with operating income of $1.2 million last year. Del attributed the drop to lower overall sales and increased material costs related to the introduction of digital products.
