GE Healthcare has formed a strategic alliance with the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen).
The relationship is designed to apply advanced cellular genomics technologies and strategies to improve and accelerate the discovery and development of new drugs, according to TGen of Phoenix and GE of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K. TGen scientists will use GE's IN Cell Analyzer imaging systems to functionally interrogate the genome to identify and characterize cancer-associated genes that can be used to help develop more targeted medicines, TGen said.
