GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., has inked an agreement with CardioDx of Palo Alto, CA, to codevelop diagnostic technologies to improve the care and management of patients with cardiovascular disease.
As part of the pact, GE has invested $5 million from its GE Healthymagination Fund in CardioDx, which develops genomic tests to aid in the assessment and tailoring of care for individuals with cardiovascular diseases such as coronary artery disease, cardiac arrhythmias, and heart failure.
Pascale Witz, president and CEO of GE Healthcare's Medical Diagnostics business, said the partnership gives GE access to new technologies in diagnostics, which will complement the company's current offerings.
