LifeImage has been creating buzz in the PACS sector over the past year with its efforts to solve some persistent problems in image compatibility.
Founded by Amicas veteran Hamid Tabatabaie, the Newton, MA-based firm's initial goal was to help healthcare facilities address the burgeoning problem of external patient CDs that can't be read due to file format incompatibilities. But LifeImage also has ambitious plans for changing the way images are shared within healthcare.
