GE Healthcare said that it will be moving its global x-ray business to a new global headquarters in Beijing.
GE's x-ray leadership team will also transition to the new headquarters, a move that will better position the unit to understand and meet the needs of high-growth markets, support the Chinese government's primary care initiative, and facilitate an entire in-country x-ray business cycle from engineering and development to sales and service, according to the vendor.
Now based in Beijing, GE's x-ray business will have executives based on three continents, according to the firm. GE said the global x-ray team will benefit from continued contact with customers and engineers, increasing its capabilities and continuing to develop products that can support healthcare settings in rural and urban China and elsewhere.
