Siemens Healthcare parent Siemens has named Kurt Bettenhausen as senior vice president of its U.S. R&D division, Siemens Corporate Research.
Bettenhausen will move to his new post from Siemens' industrial engineering and consulting business. Among other projects, Siemens Corporate Research is developing new imaging technologies such as infrared-based systems that identify abnormal cells and tissues for earlier disease detection, as well as digital platforms that enable analysis of medical images from any source, Siemens said.
