3M has acquired medical coding provider CodeRyte. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
CodeRyte's natural language processing (NLP) technology is designed for the enhanced input of coding information. Its products include CodeAssist, CodeComplete, and DataScout.
The acquisition will allow 3M to apply CodeRyte's NLP technology to its new 3M 360 Encompass system, which aids in multiple clinical documentation and coding workflow.
Since 2009, 3M partnered with CodeRyte to bring its computer-assisted coding technology to more than 60 3M clients.
