Pressure in developed markets contributed to flat revenue growth and a 2% decline in profit for GE Healthcare in its second quarter.
For the period (end-June 3), GE had revenues of $4.5 billion, compared with $4.5 billion in the second quarter of 2011. European revenues declined 8%, while U.S. revenues increased 1%. Revenues from growth regions increased 6%.
The company posted second-quarter profit of $694 million, down 2% from the $711 million reported last year. Profit was "pressured by execution misses" in Latin America, GE said.
