GE Healthcare saw its revenues dip slightly for the fourth quarter of 2013 (end-December 31), but the business produced 4% growth.
For the period, GE Healthcare posted revenues of $5.117 billion, down 1% from sales of $5.183 billion in the fourth quarter of 2012 (the numbers exclude the effects of acquisitions, business divestitures, and currency exchange rates). The division's profit was $1.062 billion, up 4% from a profit of $1.021 billion in the corresponding quarter of the preceding year.
For the year, the healthcare business produced sales of $18.2 billion, essentially flat compared with revenues of $18.29 billion in 2012. The segment's profit for 2013 was $3.048 billion, up 4% from a profit of $2.920 billion in 2012.
