Dr. Gregory Sorensen is stepping down as president and CEO of Siemens Healthcare North America, effective October 1, the company has confirmed.
Trained as a neuroradiologist, Sorensen has led the North American healthcare operations of the German vendor for the past four and a half years. Prior to joining the company, he was a professor of radiology and health sciences and technology at Harvard University, and he also held an appointment at Massachusetts General Hospital.
A Siemens representative declined to comment on whether the company had identified a replacement for Sorensen.
