While breast disease is not nearly as common in men as it is in women, it still occurs. Fortunately, researchers from Saudi Arabia and Canada have produced a guide that can help clinicians recognize the signs of male breast cancer and differentiate it from benign conditions.
The group's work was presented recently by Dr. Shaza Alsharif, a radiologist at National Guard Health Affairs in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and covers the gamut from benign conditions such as gynecomastia and pseudogynecomastia to malignant disease such as invasive carcinoma.
