Royal Philips, the parent company of Philips Healthcare, has appointed Vitor Rocha as the new CEO for Philips North America.
Rocha will replace Brent Shafer, effective immediately. Rocha previously led the company's global ultrasound business. In his new capacity, he will report to Philips CEO Frans van Houten, the company said.
Shafer left Philips to become CEO of healthcare information technology firm Cerner.
