Shimadzu Medical Systems USA has acquired Core Medical Imaging with the intention of expanding its healthcare business in North America.
Since 2000, Core Medical Imaging has provided medical imaging products and services to healthcare institutions in the Northwest region of the U.S. as a dealer for a number of brands, including Shimadzu.
Shimadzu's acquisition will help strengthen and expand the role of its Medical Systems division in the North American healthcare market, according to the company.
