Digital x-ray vendor Varex Imaging reported a decline in revenue and net earnings for its 2019 second quarter (end-March 30).
The company posted revenues of $196 million, down 3% from $201 million for the same period in 2018. Revenue from its medical segment decreased 6% to $149 million, compared with $159 million in the second quarter last year.
Net earnings for the second quarter were $6 million, compared with net earnings of $12 million in the prior year's quarter.
For the first six months of fiscal 2019, revenue was $382 million, a 1.3% increase compared with $377 million in the prior year period. Medical segment revenue decreased 2% to $293 million, compared with $298 million in 2018.
