Samsung NeuroLogica launched its new iQuia digital radiography (DR) platform today at the AHRA annual meeting in Denver.

The iQuia platform consists of a variety of products and technologies, including the iQuia Detector, a digital x-ray detector designed to capture images of patients weighing up to 882 lb. The system offers improved ergonomics for detector alignment and positioning as well as real-time shock sensing and automatic defect calibration, the company said.

The detectors will be available on iQuia GC85A, a premium ceiling DR system, and the iQuia GM85 mobile x-ray system. The detectors will be available in two sizes, the S4335-AW 14 x 17-inch detector and the S4343-AW 17 x 17-inch panel.

iQuia also comes with the iQuia Smart Center, which is a quality and asset monitoring software capable of aggregating imaging data from multiple Samsung x-ray devices into a single platform. The software is designed to improve staff training by providing information on dose analysis and rejected images, enhance equipment and staff utilization with productivity analysis to reduce turnaround time and potential equipment downtime, improve detector shock analysis, and streamline administrator workload by centralizing the reason for rejects.
