Hologic is partnering with National Football League cornerback Kelee Ringo and his mother Tralee Hale on an educational initiative regarding annual mammograms. Ringo was recently drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Tralee & Kelee Ringo Family Foundation will launch during National Women's Health week, May 14 to 20. Ringo and Hale will share Hale's story of breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, and recovery, and the foundation's focus will be on eradicating triple-negative disease, and will work to promote early detection and treatment, according to Hologic.
"As I launch my NFL career, I recognize and appreciate that I have a real opportunity to use my platform to truly make a difference," Ringo said in a statement released by Hologic. "I'm excited to partner with Hologic on this important campaign and thrilled to launch the Tralee & Kelee Ringo Family Foundation to make a real impact on families across the nation."
