Mermaid Beach Radiology in Australia is touting that it has become that country's first certified carbon neutral radiology clinic.
Carbon neutrality is when carbon emissions are balanced by equivalent carbon offsets, according to the firm.
The company's audit to reach this goal was facilitated by Pangolin Associates, which then submitted an application for Mermaid Beach Radiology to be recognized in this manner to Climate Active Australia. Mermaid Beach received accreditation in November 2022.
