Winthrop-University Hospital of Long Island, NY, has signed an agreement with Siemens Medical Solutions to utilize an array of the Malvern, PA-based vendor's medical imaging technologies and clinical information technology (IT) products.
Winthrop will install new Siemens medical imaging equipment, including two e.cam gamma cameras, an Axiom Artis dBA biplane flat-panel interventional angiography system, and the Somatom Sensation 64 CT scanner, Siemens said. The products will be incorporated into Winthrop's existing Siemens Sienet PACS, according to the company.
The facility will also be installing Siemens' Invision computerized physician-order entry (CPOE) software and its Med Administration Check medication management application.
