Canadian magnetoencephalography (MEG) developer VSM MedTech of Vancouver, British Columbia, has been awarded a contract to provide a CTF MEG system to Aston University's Wellcome Trust Laboratory for MEG Studies in Birmingham, U.K.
The Laboratory's new CTF MEG system will feature 275 MEG sensor channels, a proprietary 29-channel reference array for noise cancellation, and an integrated 64-channel EEG system. The new platform, which also features a real-time processing cluster and increased sampling rate, will replace a 151-channel MEG system that was installed by CTF Systems in 1999 prior to that company being acquired by VSM.
The system is scheduled for installation during the third quarter this year, according to VSM.
