Canadian hospital purchases Kodak PACS, CR, and DR

Queensway Carleton Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario, has installed a PACS network and CR and DR systems from Eastman Kodak Health Group of Rochester, NY.

Kodak's CareStream PACS is integrated with the hospital's Meditech hospital information system, radiology information system, and patient care inquiry system. The hospital also installed Kodak DirectView CR 850/CR 950 systems and a Kodak DirectView DR 9000 system to capture general radiography images, as well as Kodak DirectView CR Long-Length Imaging software for digital capture of long-length orthopedic exams on its Kodak CR systems.

The 250-bed Queensway Carleton Hospital currently is undergoing its first major expansion since it opened in 1976.
