Imaging center operator Miracor Diagnostics has completed its acquisition of 80% of Florida-based MRI operator Ultra Open MRI Holding. Ultra Open maintains facilities in Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Palm Harbor, FL. For San Diego-based Miracor, the deal continues an expansion into the imaging center business that began in the third quarter of 1998 with acquisitions of centers in Toledo, OH, Jacksonville, FL, and Orlando, FL. In the second quarter of 1999, Miracor, formerly known as Medical Device Technologies, completed the purchase of a center in Oak Brook, IL.
