PET manufacturer Positron has shipped its first Posicam-HZL scanner to a Japanese installation site, the National Institute of Radiological Sciences of Japan. This system, which will be used for oncology and cardiology research, will replace a previously shipped Posicam-HZ scanner, according to Houston-based Positron. The firm's PET scanners are marketed and distributed exclusively in Japan by Imatron-Japan.
