A radiology manager in Missouri rescued a 10-month-old child who was accidentally locked in a hot car by climbing through the vehicle's window, according to a July 21 report from OzarksFirst.com.

Jackie Muenks of diagnostic imaging facility Martin Center in Springfield responded to a fellow employee who alerted her to the situation. Martin Center staff called 911, but in the meantime, Muenks raced to the car to try to help.

One of the car's windows had been broken open, but the door unlock for the vehicle wasn't working, so Muenks climbed in, unfastened the baby from the car seat, and turned him over to his mother. The baby was assessed by a nurse and emergency medical staff that arrived at the scene, according to the report and to a Facebook post made by Martin Center's parent company, CoxHealth.

The child is safe and healthy, OzarkFirst.com reported.
