Radiologix reports revenue increase, but takes $1 million hit

Although radiology services provider Radiologix had third-quarter revenue of $69.2 million compared to $62.5 million in the same quarter the previous year, profits were down due to a one-time charge. The firm said revenue growth was the result of same-store increases in sales.

Radiologix announced a one-time charge of $1 million related to its share of transaction costs incurred by Saunders Karp & Megrue and its affiliates in connection with the failed proposed merger between Radiologix and an affiliate of SKM.

Because of the one-time charge, Dallas-based Radiologix’ net income for the quarter was $3.8 million, compared to $4.3 million for the third quarter of 2000.
