Imaging services provider Alliance Imaging is divesting its lithotripsy business, the Anaheim, CA, company reported last week. Alliance is selling the unit to a U.S. subsidiary of United Medical Systems International of Germany.
The sale included nine mobile lithotripters that generated annual revenues of close to $5 million and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) of close to $2 million. Alliance plans to focus on its diagnostic imaging services business, according to chairman and CEO Richard Zehner.
