EMC, Brigham and Women’s partner on imaging center

Information storage vendor EMC and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) in Boston will jointly establish the EMC data center for information imaging at the hospital’s center for evidence-based imaging. The new facility is slated to provide BWH with efficiency of storage, access, and management of patient health records incorporating genomic and proteomic data, according to the Hopkinton, MA-based EMC. The vendor will utilize the center to develop best practices in medical imaging as well as to better understand requirements for developing future technologies.
