Veterinary imaging and radiotherapy center opens

A dedicated veterinary imaging and radiotherapy center is opening today in Clifton, NJ, offering MR, CT and radiotherapy.

The Veterinary MRI and Radiotherapy Center of New Jersey (vetMRIRT) is designed for veterinary use only, and imaging will be handled on an outpatient basis with no overnight stays necessary. Interpretations will be handled by in-house staff experts.

The center is owned and operated by veterinarians, including board-certified specialists in surgery, radiology, internal medicine, imaging, oncology, and radiation oncology. Its equipment includes a 1.5-tesla MRI scanner, a CT unit, and a linear accelerator.
