Canadian private healthcare services provider Medisys of Montreal said it has signed letters of intent to acquire two medical imaging clinics in Toronto.
The firm is seeking to buy A.T.R. Laboratories, a provider of ultrasound services in Toronto for the past 20 years. The second acquisition, Toronto Radiologists' Services, has been offering general radiology services in Toronto for 42 years.
The two organizations generated approximately $4.5 million Canadian ($3.6 million U.S.) in revenues and $1.2 million ($948,000) in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) in their most recent fiscal years, according to Medisys.
Both acquisitions are expected to close during the second quarter of 2005, pending receipt of regulatory and other approvals, Medisys said.
