U.S. Congress lobbied over imaging cuts

A letter has been sent to U.S. House and Senate leaders asking them to reconsider the deep cuts made in medical imaging services for Medicare beneficiaries in the Deficit Reduction Omnibus Reconciliation Act of 2005.

The letter was signed by more than 30 medical groups, technology associations, healthcare providers, and patient advocates, according to the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) of Rosslyn, VA.
