Novant Health of Winston-Salem, NC, has closed on its $45 million acquisition of imaging services provider MedQuest of Alpharetta, GA.
MedQuest operates a network of 92 centers in 13 states located primarily throughout the southeastern and southwestern U.S. It will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Novant.
Novant serves North Carolina and South Carolina through an 800-physician medical group and eight hospitals. After the purchase, MedQuest still has approximately $369 million of outstanding debt. If MedQuest achieves agreed-upon financial metrics next year, Novant will pay up to an additional $35 million.
