The U.S. House of Representatives on April 13 passed a bill that would delay a 2% cut to Medicare provider payments through the end of 2021, according to a report from the Hill.

The cut occurs annually and was originally established by the 2011 Budget Control Act, the Hill reported.

The bill postponing the cut passed with a vote of 384 to 38 and follows the passage of a similar bill in the Senate on March 25. Following reconciliation between the two bills, it will go to President Joe Biden for signature.
