The American College of Radiology (ACR) has joined with 74 medical associations in a November 11 letter thanking congressional sponsors for introducing HR 8702, which would halt Medicare payment cuts prompted by evaluation and management code changes that start in January.
The legislation, titled "Holding Providers Harmless from Medicare Cuts During COVID-19 Act" would protect healthcare providers from payment cuts and boost pay for primary care physicians who offer evaluation and management services for two years, the ACR said.
