Rayus Radiology, formerly the Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI), has purchased three imaging centers in Florida and acquired a majority stake in the Radiology Research Institute, an imaging services provider for contract research organizations and medical device and pharmaceutical firms.

Rayus said it's partnering with Dr. Stephen Bravo on the Radiology Research Institute. The joint venture will continue to provide its research partners with imaging services for a wide variety of clinical trials, with a focus on Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, and irritable bowel disease, according to Rayus. The institute will also enable Rayus to offer its patients greater access to new treatments and technologies, the company said.

In addition, the acquisition of the three imaging centers of Sand Lake Imaging in Orlando brings eight additional subspecialist radiologists to the Rayus Radiology network.
