Three new members have been appointed to the National Advisory Council for Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NACBIB) of the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB).
The new council members are John Gore, PhD, of Vanderbilt University Medical Center; Dr. Cato Laurencin, PhD, of the University of Connecticut; and Dr. Mark Musen, PhD, of Stanford University.
The council is made up of scientists, engineers, physicians, radiologists, researchers, and other health professionals who represent disciplines in and outside of biomedical imaging and bioengineering, according to NIBIB. It meets three times per year to advise on policy and program priorities related to the conduct and support of research, training, health information dissemination, and other programs that address biomedical imaging, biomedical engineering, and associated technologies and modalities with biomedical applications.
